M-Learning: "Les tecnologies mòbils als centres educatius"

El mapa conceptual és un recurs essencial en l'àmbit educatiu. Aquest permet als estudiants relacionar idees i tenir una visió general dels coneixements que han d'assimilar; i també analitzar i sintetitzar la informació si són ells mateixos els qui l'elaboren. El mapa conceptual l'he realitzat mitjançant el programa Popplet. 

"Mobile learning i apps educatives" és el tema principal d'aquest mapa conceptual. El mobile learning, en català conegut com a "aprenentatge mòbil", és una metodologia d'ensenyament i aprenentatge la qual consisteix en l'ús de dispositius mòbils en les aules (Bring Your Own Device) com són, per exemple, els telèfons mòbils, les tablets  i els ordinadors.

WHAT IS IT? It's defined as "learning across multiple contexts, through social and content interactions, using personal electronic devices". 

Actualment, el docent que no està acostumat a l'ensenyament mitjançant la tecnologia, té una certa dificultat i no s'acaba d'adaptar al món tecnològic del segle XXI. A més a més, aquesta nova metodologia comporta una sèrie d'avantatges (advantages) i d'inconvenients (disadvantages) que cal tenir en compte:

ADVANTAGES:

-Creativity: students are able to learn in their own way. They can personalize and enjoy learning.
-Interactive and dynamic lessons: facilitates student interaction with instructors and amongst peers.
-Prompt and unlimited information: "BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE"
-An increase of motivation: ownership of the device increases commitment to using and learning it.
-Share knowledge: several students at different locations can work in the same documents

DISADVANTAGES:

-An inappropriate use: higher risk of inappropriate use by students during school hours due to lack of control.
-Lack of teacher training: the majority of teacher preparation programs are not providing adequate training to aspiring teachers, leaving them unable to accommodate increasingly rigorous instructional goals of public schools.
-Costly: Educational applications aren't free. Tools are very expensive. Not everyone has the ability to purchase electronic equipment.
